Exciting Volunteer Opportunities in a Natural Setting
At Courage Center Camps we welcome individual and group volunteers. Individual volunteers are required to be 18 years of age. Within our group volunteers, teens ages 14-17 are encouraged to participate with appropriate adult supervision.

Courage Center Camps Need You – Volunteer to be a Camp Ambassador
Courage Center Camps are seeking former campers and their families to be ambassadors for Courage Center Camps at special events. Our goal is to have ambassadors throughout Minnesota who can share their passion and experiences with Courage Center Camps at special events in their neighborhood/region. Horseback Riding Assistant – Camp Courage
Assist the riding instructor with set up for riding program, lead horses during sessions and assist with clean up which may include untacking and grooming horses. Volunteers must have advanced knowledge of horsemanship and equestrian safety. Volunteers are asked to work a minimum of three hours, one day per week, June – August.
Skilled Volunteers - Camp Courage
Camp Courage is located on 305 wooded acres three miles outside of Maple Lake, MN. Join our grounds and maintenance crews who place great effort into keeping camp stunning. Camp Courage needs skilled volunteers with backgrounds in the following areas:
Roofing - Assist in removing, repairing and replacing shingles on camp building roofs.
Flooring - Stripping, repairing and replacing flooring.
Tree Removal - Assist in removal of trees and stumps.
Arborist - Assist in the cultivation and care of our trees
Skilled volunteers can participate as individuals or groups.
Special Program Assistant – Camp Courage
For volunteers who have skills in nature studies, arts and crafts, music, fishing or a unique talent that will add to the experiences for campers. Time commitments will vary according to activity during the months of June – August. Volunteers may be individual or groups.
Building and Grounds Assistant – Camp Courage
Join our grounds and maintenance crews who work hard to keep camp beautiful. Assist in raking, mowing, clearing of trails and minor repairs. Courage Center Camps welcome skill-based volunteers with backgrounds in construction, electrical and general handyman skills. Time commitments vary according to activity; opportunities occur throughout the year. Volunteers may be individual or groups.
