Dr. McAllister holds a doctor of psychology degree in clinical psychology from Antioch University – New England. He has worked as the director of behavioral health at Medical Advanced Pain Specialists; he has been in private practice in St. Paul and has performed consultation liaison work at Fairview University Hospital. In 2010, he joined the staff of the Courage Center, practicing in both the Golden Valley and Stillwater locations.
Dr. McAllister’s area of specialty is chronic pain rehabilitation. He provides brief and long-term therapies and evaluations. He coordinates care with the rest of the Courage Center interdisciplinary staff, as well as with local area primary care and specialty providers. He also is a published author and frequent presenter to regional and national conferences in chronic pain rehabilitation.
