      Courage Center Shop Services offers you the experience and expertise of a large specialty product manufacturer, but with personal service that allows us to create products tailored specifically to your unique needs. No referral is required to order our products.

      We have more than 20 years of experience producing adapted equipment. Our products are custom made by a volunteer work force of retired professional craftsmen who take real pride in their work. Courage Center staff work together to design and evaluate our products.

      Whether your child needs a customized chair to ensure proper positioning and posture, or you’d like to learn to type but need a special keyboard guard, Courage Center Shop Services can assess your needs and find a solution. From brackets to hold a walker on the back of a wheelchair to a one-handed knitting device, we've done it before.

Funding for Shop Services

There is a cost for shop services, though, if the item is deemed medically necessary, the cost may be covered under Medicare, Medicaid or insurance. In some cases, items not deemed medically necessary may be funded by the consumer’s county-waivered services or by non-profit groups. Many devices are paid out-of-pocket; we usually provide an estimate and work within a person’s budget. We are able to keep our rates affordable with the help of our volunteers.
