Courage Center provides holistic rehabilitation services that bring the best resources available to help each client address the physical, psychological, familial, vocational and societal issues related to their rehabilitation process.
Most clients with spinal cord injuries begin their rehabilitation in our inpatient transitional rehabilitation program. We provide the full continuum of services in the post-acute phase of rehabilitation, and focus on return to participation in home and community living.
Outpatient therapy services - including physical and occupational therapy from professionals who specialze in rehabilitation for people with disabilities - are available at Courage Center. We also recognize that it's important to be active and have fun, which many of our clients do through our extensive adaptive sports and recreation and aquatics and fitness programs.
The ABLE Program is an innovative new approach for people living with paralysis or neurological conditions. ABLE uses emerging research about the benefits of activating muscles and nerves to promote a greater degree of neuro recovery and improve overall health and fitness. ABLE can be beneficial regardless of whether the spinal cord injury is recent or occured years earlier.
Courage Center is a regional resource for spinal cord injury rehabilitation in the upper Midwest.
